Introducing Rear side Quarter Windows Weatherstripping
When referring to Quarter Windows, it means car side window that can be found in a variety of body type especially 2 Doors Sedan or Coupe Hardtop car groups. Quarter Windows Weatherstripping can be broadly classify according to its usage as follow:
Fix window
It is Quarter Windows without complicated mechanisms which looks like rubber weatherstripping attached to the car body. It is similar to Front and Rear Rubber Weatherstrip Seal but the shape of the window glass will be vary according to the design of each car model. However, universal profile rubber cannot be installed because each model has a unique window shape. The window itself usually has at least 1-2 number of angles, either Narrow angle or Wide angle. So, Rubber Weatherstripping requires neatly and precisely heat moulded joint for making these angles. In case of modifications universal rubber profile for connecting angle correctly and closely is often difficult to make it.
Opened - Closed Window
This type of Quarter Window Weatherstripping Seal is more complicated than the Fix Window. It usually has two components :
- Inner Weatherstrip which it is an important part of sealing water and windproof while closing the window,
- Outer Weatherstrip (in some car model this part may not be included).
Inner weatherstripping profile
has two main forms of support: the pinch part to the car body and the shockproof part. Inner Weatherstripping Rubber Seal can be a whole Sponge rubber, a whole piece of Dense rubber or a small side-bulb pinch-weld rubber.

Outer Weatherstrip

Sliding Window
