Most of the profile have pinch lip on both side, one side for pinching the glass and the other side pinching to the car body and the most important thing is the groove for locking strip.

The concept and installation of this type.

It doesn’t matter to fit the rubber on glass first or on car body. Anyway you will have small gap to put rubber ,glass and car body together. Usually the wider lip side should cover the glass and narrower lip side cover to the car body. Finally, you have to put rubber insert lock strip in to the groove to make the rubber hold glass tight with car body.

Standard size to use on car windshield or other window type, profile width should be approx. 1” - 1 “ ¼

In case the glass window is thicker and bigger such as train window, vessel and etc. You might need a bigger profile type for holding it.

However, this type of profile need special tool to fit on car body. Without this tool, you are not able to fit the glass. It’s simple Rope that have enough strength to pull the rubber lip. That’s why we call this type “ Rope In Windshield Rubber ”

First, you have to pinch the rubber on glass to complete the loop. Check the rubber to fit firm along the glass. Then you put the rope into the lower lip ( that will pinch on car body) round the glass edge.

Afterthat you have to push the glass on the car body and pull the rubber to open lip cover to the body frame. Pull the rope until it is completely cover on body.
